 2007 HAPPY LAB TAILS.....

I would just like to THANK everyone who has adopted from our rescue, donated to our rescue and even just looked and passed along information for our rescue. Since we are so small I never dreamed I would be able to find homes

for 7 labs in one year, but we did! Each and everyone of them has a special place in my heart and I do believe the right Lab has gone home to the perfect family. So 7 completed adoptions for 2007, well I am hoping for 10 plus in 2008. Please help by passing along our web page and remember donations are always helpful when it comes to running a rescue.

Happy New Year to all Lab Lovers!

TOPPER-2007:( former name of Bocephus) I found Topper at the local shelter; and for a big lab he was so gentle and sweet. I had him less than 2 weeks in foster when a young lady named Abby adopted him and gave him a wonderful forever home in Northern KY.
"Welcome home Topper, welcome home"

Shelby-2007: (former name of Jamie)  was found as a stray in northern KY just running the country side. She was on "death row" and I got an email about her, so I took an emergency trip north to pick her up and I am so glad I did, she ended up being a part of our family, she was with us for 3 plus months in foster care. She is such a gentle, sweet and undemanding Lab. She now has a new home in Southern KY with a wonderful man named Lonnie.

BAXTER-2007: Came to the rescue a mess, he was fed and given water when his owner remembered. His nails were so long it pained him to walk. His ears were so very dirty, but he was a loveable - good soul. He has now been adopted and is living in Bardstown, KY. He has a fenced in yard, lives on a quiet street and has a beautiful 4y/o to play with. I think he will be a very happy labbie for the rest of his days. I think Amy and Savannah made the perfect choice.

JERSEY-2007: Came to me from a high kill shelter in western KY, he was picked up as a stray. This chocolate boy had more manners than most kids I have met. He never jumped up on me, would sit when told, was house broken, and crate trained. So why would someone not come looking for him when he went missing, well my theory is because he needed a surgery on his eye lids, his eye lashes were growing inverted and it caused his eye to look infected and very ugly. I knew because of this he would never get adopted out of the shelter and I was his only hope for survival!  Well he had his surgery and now he has found the perfect family in northern KY. He has 2 kids to play with and a mom and dad who love him to death.
"Welcome Home Jersey, welcome home"

CHARLIE-2007: I received an email asking if I could please take this wonderful "mellow-yellow" lab from a shelter in western KY, he was on death row. Well they were correct he was mellow, and wonderful. Charlie was adopted by a very nice couple looking for a companion dog for the husband, in RI. I really love a happy ending and I believe Charlie will love his new forever home.

 "Welcome home Charlie, welcome home"

NELLIE-2007: was a rescue from a western KY high kill shelter, she was turned in by her military family because they were moving and didn't want to take her along. Well from the beginning she was a very good house guest and I enjoyed having her here, and now she has moved on to her new forever home in Glasgow, KY.

"Welcome home Nellie, welcome home"

HANA-2007: I got Hana from a local shelter when she was about 10 weeks old.  She grew from a puppy into a beautiful young lady. She is now living in Nashville, TN area with a lovely couple. She has settled in well and really keeps them on their toes wanting to play fetch any and all the time.
